I attended a pre-screening with Myth Guyot this past Friday, he and fellow second life resident Laksmi Giha are now presenting only in Second Life, "Walk to Elea!" a Machinima-Film. The film connects Plato's "allegory of the cave" and the idea of life itself. The concepts of "being and existance" and the search for personal reality are explored in the film as the two characters enter a maze from different sides and find each other in the middle.
I received the following as a press release: Tue April 1st, 6pm SLT, on Cedar Island, at the official opening of Vision3(Vision cubed), visionary artist Leou Aeon’s newest installation. The installation features abstract ink drawings, excerpts of the artist’s new comics albums, printed on 64 large scale SL cubes, suspended at 0 gravity on a skybox.
New book out on SL. "The Making of Second Life," Wagner James Au. WSJ ran a review of the book in the on-line edition. I hadn't had the chance to check out Hamlet Au's New World Notes blog yet.
